This custom made necklace features a handmade exotic wood guitar pick as the pendant. The guitar pick is precision laser engraved with the Believer logo on one side, & the album art of Transhuman on the opposite side. You decide which is the front and which is the back, as this necklace is reversible.
The exotic wood used is Caribbean rosewood, also known as Chechen. The pick was independently shaped & sanded by hand and treated with mineral oil & bees wax. The pick soaks in the oil to allow for penetration and is then hand rubbed with a natural bees wax paste to further seal & protect the wood from the elements.
The leather necklace is 20” long x 3mm thick and features silver plated ends & jump rings. The lobster clasp is solid sterling silver. The accent beads are Pandora style natural wood beads and polyhalite glass beads. A Tibetan silver charm bead was used as the pendant bail with a silver plated jump ring that holds the pick. The pick measures roughly 1-5/16” or 33mm X about 1-1/16” or 27mm wide and is approx. 3.25mm thick at the thickest part, with the tip tapering down to about 1mm.

My Dad was a cabinet maker by trade, & he taught me at a very early age to never rush a project, & don't even think of cutting corners, & to just let my own creativity & passion drive my woodworking ambitions. His ‘Old School’ ways and work ethic are what drive me today, & I know that with each piece that I produce, there is big part of my Dad in it as well.
My Dad is retired now, and is over 80 years old, but he still keeps himself busy by helping out everybody he knows whenever he can. Whenever I decide to make something out of rare or very rare wood, I make certain that the wood used is re-claimed, salvaged, or from a sustainable harvest. I really enjoy working in my small ‘One Artisan’ shop, & I hope that you find joy in the products I create”.
